Just days after Nick Lachey announced his engagement to Vanessa Minnillo, sources confirm to UsMagazine.com that the singer, 30, became engaged to beau Eric Johnson on Thursday, just days after Us broke the news that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, popped the question to Vanessa Minnillo, his love of nearly five years.
News of the engagement was first reported by Us Weekly after Simpson was seen Saturday wearing a ring at an in-store appearance at a Dillard’s in the Oak Park Mall in Kansas City.
Johnson proposed with a three-stone ring, featuring a ruby in the center and two diamonds on either side.
This will be the second marriage for both Simpson and Johnson.
