Hollywood icon ZSA ZSA GABOR is in critical condition after suffering complications from hip replacement surgery following a fall from her bed which left her with several broken bones .
The 93-year-old star’s operation on Monday was reportedly a success, but now the news isn’t so good. Her publicist tells TMZ.com that Gabor is suffering “heavy bleeding” and has stopped speaking, and her doctors fear she may have suffered a stroke. Her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, says, “We have to wait a few more days to see what is going on. She looks at us but doesn’t know what is going on.” The Hungarian-born screen icon underwent surgery after she suffered several broken bones after falling out of bed in an attempt to answer the phone at her Bel-Air home last weekend.
Gabor has had several medical problems over the years — as well as needing a wheelchair following a car accident in 2002 which left her partially-paralyzed, she also suffered a stroke five years ago.
